Our school sports day took place on the 22nd of September 2017 with three teams-red, blue and white- competing for the title of Sports Day Champions 2017. The event took place in Morton Stadium Santry. The students participated in many different activities such as long jump, three legged race, wellie throw, 400 m race and the 100 m race.
Added to the sports events, the students also showed off their dance moves on the track led by 6th years such as Caitlyn McLoughlin, Chole Conroy, Alicia O’Brien and Mariam Alade. Teachers also joined in the fun, with Ms O’Hagan standing out as “Dancer of the Day”.
Our beloved principal Mr. Cullen was in the white team with team mates such as Ms. Kehoe and Ms. Murtagh. Our lovely music teacher Ms. Mccartin were cheering for the red team with Ms. McCann by her side. The blue team however stole the show with Mr Rattigan performing extremely well ast all the teacher rceWe need to thank firstly Ms. Muldoon who ran like a cheetah to get great points for the team and became first on the teachers race.
It was an absolute pleasure to be involved in this event. I think everyone enjoyed it and would like to go again next year.
